Barcelona-based distributor GoldBee is happy to announce new international sales for the acclaimed Canadian live-action tween/teen series First Line (Premier trio). The series continues to expand its global reach with new broadcast partners joining the lineup.
RTS in Switzerland has acquired Free TV and Free VOD Rights to seasons 1 and 2 of First Line, marking the show’s debut in the territory in May of this year. In addition, SVT in Sweden, which previously picked up Season 1, has now secured Season 2, confirming the program’s growing success with Nordic audiences.
These new agreements build on a strong list of broadcast partners already on board, including France Télévisions (Free-to-Air and Free VOD rights for France), YLE in Finland (exclusive FVOD rights), and RTBF in Belgium (Free TV and FVOD rights).
First Line is commissioned by Radio-Canada (ICI TOU.TV EXTRA and ICI TÉLÉ) and produced by Canadian studio Avanti-Toast. Season 3 is now available and premiered in Canada in May with outstanding results ranking in the top 10 of most watched programs amongst all genre on ICI TOU.TV, bringing the total number of available episodes to 78×21’. The series recently received three Gémeaux Awards, including Best Youth Fiction Series, Best Direction (Charles and Philippe Grenier), and Best Supporting Role (Mathieu Drouin).
First Line follows Chloe, a star athlete who breaks barriers by joining an elite all-boys hockey team. Set against the world of competitive sports, the series explores teenage challenges—rivalries, friendships, and emotional growth—in a powerful coming-of-age story that resonates with viewers worldwide. First Line is based on Nadia Lakhdari’s successful book collection.
Christophe Goldberger, Managing Director, GoldBee: “First Line continues to connect with new audiences across Europe and beyond. These latest partnerships highlight the show’s wide appeal and the universal strength of its universal themes: perseverance, self-affirmation, and growth.”
Monique Lamoureux, co-president, Avanti-Toast: “First Line continues to impress with its outstanding performance. All three seasons have consistently ranked among the most-watched programs across all genres on ICI TOU.TV, with the recent premiere of Season 3 reaffirming the series’ strong appeal. This ongoing success highlights First Line’s deep connection with tween and teen audiences and its growing potential on the international stage.”
