Is it possible to remodel your home without the relationship falling apart?
Avanti-Toast is pleased to announce a new original production about couples going through home improvements, hosted by Mathieu Baron with the help of designer Paule Bourbonnais. When Walls Come Down (Quand les murs tombent), produced in collaboration with Québecor Contenu, will air on CASA in winter 2023.
Remodelling: make or break for the couple?
Even when head over heels in love, home improvements can be a difficult affair. Statistics show that more than 30% of couples separate during or after the completion of a large project. In this new concept by Simon Sachel, various couples will be aided in their quests by Mathieu Baron and designer Paule Bourbonnais. The latter is going in with the goal of disproving these statistics. In addition to helping participants bring their plans to fruition, she will focus on communication, kindness, and the love these couples share to help them survive their remodelling!
In each episode, viewers will meet couples experiencing the personal and technical challenges brought by a home improvement project. Through their respective roles and distinct personalities, Mathieu and Paule will approach the couples’ fears and concerns with kindness and humour while guiding them through their new adventure.
